We are All in This Together
Hello, my name is Oliver Shane, and I’m a type one diabetic; odds are, if you’re reading this, you are too.
Living with type 1 diabetes is a daily challenge that requires constant management of blood sugar levels, insulin injections, and careful monitoring of one’s overall health. It is not just a physical condition but also a mental illness that can significantly impact an individual’s well-being. Unfortunately, the mental burden associated with this chronic illness, particularly among teenagers, often goes unnoticed. The fact that it’s a constant job with no downtime, and which causes regular physical exhaustion form lows and highs make it incredibly tricky to manage. That’s a lot of pressure for a sixteen-year-old.
