In 2013, during our first year of operations, we facilitated the purchase of $4,300 dollars worth of insulin and diabetes medical supplies in order to serve 15 children, families, and young adults in need in Southwest Florida. We’ve grown those impact numbers exponentially over the past 7 years, with $123,600 dollars spent to serve 462 children in 2020 alone.Â
We’re proud of those humble beginnings and how far we’ve come, but we know we’ve got more to do. With diabetes diagnoses on the rise, the costs of insulin climbing, and health disparities widening, our mission to provide life-saving and life-sustaining services to those in need will be even more crucial.Â
That’s why we’re dedicated to growing our mission and expanding our reach to more counties in Florida and beyond.
