Help a Diabetic Child (HADC) is looking for volunteers that want to serve as ambassadors for children, families and young adults who struggle financially and emotionally with managing Type 1 Diabetes.

You don’t need to check off all the boxes. We value your experience and ideas. HADC staff and volunteers collaborate and leverage each other’s strengths.

HADC is seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Specialist to join our team, helping us advance our mission to empower individuals to shape a brighter future. If you excel at building relationships and securing funding to support impactful educational media, we’d love to hear from you!

In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our execution and strategy. Additionally, this position offers the unique opportunity to be considered for a seat on our Board of Directors or Advisory Board, enabling you to drive strategic growth and contribute to the long-term vision of HADC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance on fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
  • Leverage your network to identify and cultivate potential donors and corporate sponsors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to secure major gifts and donations.
  • Assist in organizing and hosting fundraising events.
  • Collaborate with the board and executive team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, with a strong track record of securing donations from private donors and corporate sponsors in the United States.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the philanthropic and corporate giving communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies.
  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of HADC.
  • Ability to contribute time and resources on a weekly basis to support the organization’s activities and initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in our event planning and execution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Support & PR: Assist in the coordination and execution of branded events, ensuring seamless operations and positive public perception.
  • Direct Customer Engagement: Interact with attendees at events, promoting brand messaging and answering inquiries to drive sales.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to maximize product exposure and achieve sales targets during events.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of our client’s products and services, communicating features and benefits to customers effectively.
  • Customer Service: Deliver an exceptional customer experience by addressing questions and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a brand ambassador, helping build lasting relationships with communities and customers.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for event coordination, public relations, and community engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, logistics, sales, or related fields is highly desirable.
